This Working Group was established in March 2017 in order to promote specific types of biomass feedstocks such as solid, vegetal residue streams from agriculture, and dedicated, perennial lignocellulosic crops. Both result in abundant feedstock sources that are – to this day – largely underutilised. Companies operating in this sector are mostly pioneers and range from Micro-enterprises to SMEs. The Working Group on Agricultural Biomass and Energy Crops is open to all AEBIOM members, aims at supporting the development of this sector and better communicating on the potentials and benefits of this biomass at EU-level.
