Benelux biorefinery consortium looks for partners Financial partnering Wallonia, Belgium

A Benelux consortium of companies is developing a network of biorefinery sites. The main process used will be pyrolysis and torrefaction. The biorefinery will operate on a regional platform collecting “green by-products” (grass, branches, ...). CHP Plant Bara (“Bara”) – fully commissioned biomass thermal gasification CHP plant with ~2 MWe capacity located in Bulgaria is for sale. It is owned by Bara Group Ltd. (“Bara Group”), subsidiary of CEZ, a. s. – leading utility in Central and Eastern Europe with market capitalization of ~€8.7 bn. The plant is for sale due to legislative changes in Bulgaria cancelling feed-in tariffs. Bara Group is audited by Ernst & Young, guaranteeing the transparency of the company's financial movements.
