EIPS and EPC, in collaboration with AEBIOM, are organising a new workshop in Brussels on May 11th and 12th 2016, dedicated to the European medium scale pellet combustion plants market (100 kW – 5 MW).
This event will build on the outcomes of a previous productive and successful workshop held on November 17th 2016 in Brussels and attended by more than 50 pellet professionals. As the first workshop focussed on defining the key challenges faced by the EU pellet sector to ensure its entry onto the mid-scale market, the second workshop will discuss solutions and best case practices. This would finally lead to the development of an action plan under EPC and EIPS supervision, as depicted on the below timeline. Download the public report of the 1st workshop to get an overview of the market challenges identified by participants.
The workshop, open to the public, will be held on 11th May (all day) and on 12th (only morning), and will be followed in the afternoon by the first meeting of the AEBIOM “Pellets Working Group”. This last meeting, open to AEBIOM members only, aims at creating an action plan to promote pellets and its uses.
With this workshop, participants will have a unique opportunity to learn how to grow their market by understanding how to replicate successful medium scale pellet combustion plant projects, by capitalising on the experience of project managers and/or plant operators.
The event will combine presentations from several experts and active workshops with all the participants, among which pellet combustion plant operators from different market segments (industry, tertiary sector, public sector, district heating, etc.) and from different countries, who will share their experience with the audience. Based on their feedback, participants will discuss in small groups lessons learnt from the experts’ experience, to identify what are the main drivers and obstacles when developing such projects in order to define how to replicate them.
